July 24, 2010 - "Cedar Hummingbird" class with Daryl Thurston. He will instruct in carving a Hummingbird from a block of cedar. This project is for all level of carvers and beginners. Daryl will provide the cedar block and
a carving knife of his own design and craftsmenship. Students are to bring a carving glove or thin glove to protect your hand from cuts. The class costs is $35.00. Reserve your seat by calling Old Church Gallery at

July 30 & 31, 2010 - "Mosaic Bird House on Glass" class with Karen Brabender. She will instruct in making the birdhouse, sample on right. This is a multi textured piece, with each student selecting from a large assortment of glass. Karen will be at the Old Church Gallery on both Friday and Saturday. On Friday from 1 pm to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. This allows the participants to attend with their schedule needs.
She will start each participant as they come. This is a larger piece then the previous works and will require the extra time. All materials will be provided. Class costs is $50. Reserve your seat by calling Old Church Gallery at 906.863.1222.
August 7, 2010 - Acrylic Painting, shading, demension with light
Jane Denowski will instruct shading and use of light to make your
acrylic paintings with depth and demensions. Jane will have this class from 1 pm to 3 pm CDS. Class Costs $15, all materials provided. This class requires no painting experience, beginners are welcome. Reserve your seat by calling Old Church Gallery at 906.863.1222, limit of 7 reservations.
August 28, 2010 - Creation of a "Fabric Postcard" instructor Laurie Ceesay, Menominee. Class will be from 1:30pm to 3:30pm CDS. Class Costs $35, all materials provided. Reserve your seat by calling Old Church Gallery at 906-863-1222, Min of 3 Max of 8, registration due by Aug 21 to prepare materials such as fabric, cards and a large variety of enhancements to make your Fabric Postcard special.
